If you reached this page, it means that personal image is important to you and that you are aware of how it influences the people around you. Perfect! We are here to provide all the information you need, because only by knowing some of the benefits, you can make the best decisions. Here we will present a set of basic information about the two types of custom-made suits: bespoke and made to measure.
The bespoke suit is a rare jewel of tailoring: built from scratch to match exclusively the body of its future owner. The construction process is a truly special one, based on the traditional tailoring style. Every bespoke suit that leaves our workshop begins with a tailoring pattern designed for the client and is perfected through over 60 hours of craftsmanship.
The made to measure suit is the meeting point between customization and production automation. This concept implies an elaborate adjusting of a standard template, in order to obtain a final product that matches the client’s sizing and preferences. The made-to-measure suit reaches SARTO’s typical quality standards while reflecting the care and dedication that have become a signature of the brand.
For both types of suits, the price can considerably vary, depending on the chosen fabric and customization elements.
Bespoke
The price of a two-piece bespoke suit – jacket and trousers -, made in the SARTO bespoke tailoring workshop starts at 5450 lei.
Made-To-Measure
The price of a two-piece made-to-measure suit – jacket and trousers -, made in a Western production line starts at 3000 lei.

Bespoke
A set of measurements is required for creating your unique tailoring template, which is replicated on the chosen fabric for the bespoke suit, using a piece of chalk. Every suit component is carefully cut using the scissors, without industrial interventions.
Afterwards, the pieces of the suit are manually sewn by specialized tailors, ensuring the most precise seams. After putting together the elements, a semi-built version of the bespoke suit is ready for the first fitting. The client tries it on and the master tailor makes sure that the product matches the expectations. The phase of intermediary fitting is available only in the bespoke tailoring process and it is the only occasion on which the suit can suffer interventions.
After the fitting, the custom made suit is prepared for fine-tuning. In this phase, all the observations collected during the fitting are being implemented carefully. All the pieces are permanently sewn together, the button wholes are finished (mechanically or manually), the sleeves are correctly positioned to fit the body’s orientation and finally the suit is ironed.
Once the suit is finished and ready for delivery, and the client can try it on one more time, to make sure that everything is flawless.
Made-To-Measure
When it comes to made-to-measure, the specialists work with standard suit sizes and during the fitting use a sample suit that will help them to determine what tailoring pattern is most suitable to be replicated. The result is a mass product with that suffered a number of alterations and was customized to a certain extent.
Using the sample suit as a starting point, an experienced fashion adviser will help the future owner to decide what kind of customization and alterations are to be made. In terms of fitting, the elements that can be adjusted are the length of the sleeves and trousers and the fit, but everything within the limits of the chosen template (the construction of the tailoring pattern cannot be changed).
Once that all the details and coordinates are set, the suit is produced in a factory. At the moment of delivery, the final fitting takes place, when the fashion adviser makes sure that all the requests have been met. The SARTO tailors can make minor adjustments.

Bespoke
If you want a product that is 100% customized for your body and style, the bespoke suit is the best choice you can make. Besides the color, fabric and other aesthetic details, this suit can also be adjusted in terms of structure, geometry and design.
Every element of the suit can be adapted in the most specific way: the sleeves orientation, the shoulders height, the stiffness of the canvas on the chest and many others.
Moreover, innovative customizations can be applied to the suit: from the number of pockets, lengths and volume to very special details. Another advantage of this suit is being tailored with extra margins, in case your weight changes, which allows you to enjoy it for a longer period.
Made-To-Measure
The options are fewer compared to the ones available for the bespoke suit. You will have the satisfaction of choosing a wide range of elements that can express your style and represent your personal touch on the final product.
You will be able to choose the jacket structure, the type of sleeve, the color, texture and pattern of the fabric, along with a series of customizations like: the color of the buttons, the lining pattern or your monogram.
