Fabrics Loro Piana

Established in the 1920s as a wool merchandising company, Loro Piana made a name for itself by creating luxurious fabrics from merino wool, ""the gift of kings"" and Vicuña, ""the fibre of the gods"". Loro Piana is the number one processor of Vicuña, producing the finest fibre that can be legally obtained from an adult animal (on average 12.5 - 13 microns) and generating most of the cloth made from it world-wide. Given its performance, in 2013, the company was bought by Louis Vuitton SA for 2.7 billion euros.
